Digital Prime Technologies (DPT) received a strategic investment from digital asset prime brokerage LTP.
The investment means LTP joins the consortium of DPT partners — including EquiLend, Galaxy Digital, and Marex — which are working to advance the next phase of institutional digital asset lending infrastructure.
According to the firms, LTP will serve as DPT’s lead partner throughout APAC, helping to expand regional institutional participation in digital asset markets.
Tokenet, DPT’s digital and tokenised asset lending platform, will gain access to LTP’s group of borrowers, lenders, liquidity providers, and market participants.
DPT says its consortium represents a vision of “continuous, around-the-clock lending markets”, offering 24/7 access to liquidity and transaction execution capabilities.
Commenting on the investment, James Runnels, CEO of DPT, says: “LTP's extensive institutional client network, prime brokerage capabilities, execution infrastructure, and financing expertise will help accelerate Tokenet's adoption among financial institutions seeking secure and familiar access to digital asset lending markets throughout Asia while strengthening connectivity between regional and global liquidity pools.”
Jack Yang, founder and CEO of LTP, adds: “Institutional markets are becoming increasingly global, and digital asset lending must evolve beyond regional operating models.
“We are excited to join EquiLend, Galaxy Digital, and Marex as strategic investors and look forward to leading Tokenet's expansion throughout APAC.”
