Cowen Equity AV狼 adds securities lending team

The Cowen Equity AV狼 Group has strengthened its team with four new recruits.
Jon Wedrogowski joins Cowen Equity AV狼 from Kellner Capital, where he worked as director for the KDC Alpha Fund.
He will be director and head of analytics at Cowen Equity AV狼.
Marylou Carluccio is joining Cowen Equity AV狼 to work in sales. She was previously a securities lending representative at Penson Financial Services and an AQS specialist at Quadriserv.
Former BNP Paribas securities lending operations specialist Stefanie Mangino has also moved to Cowen Equity AV狼 to work in a sales trading and support role.
She successfully led the migration of the securities lending operations division from Bank of America to BNP Paribas following the sale of the prime brokerage unit.
Cowen Equity AV狼 has also added Nina Dipaola to its team.
The former Jefferies & Co associate, who specialises in securities lending sales support, will carry out a similar role at Cowen Equity AV狼.
Financial services company Cowen Group bought the securities lending business and broker-dealer subsidiary Cowen Equity AV狼, formerly known as KDC Securities, from Kellner Capital late last year.
Rory Zirpolo, the head of securities lending at Cowen, serves as managing director and head of the equity finance group.
Jill Mandarino, Stephen Grazioli, Dan Gee, CJ Romano and Richard DePaulis moved to the Cowen Group along with Zirpolo last year.
In a statement, Zirpolo said: "We [Cowen Equity AV狼 Group] find ourselves in a unique situation with great opportunities."
"We have an experienced team of traders with strong access to supply side counterparties. We are positioned in between sizable and well-known demand side counterparties (outside of the bulge firms) who have limited access to supply. Combining our needs with the needs of others from the buy side provides us with a good demand footprint."
