Clearstream GSF volume outstanding jumps 29% YoY for July

Clearstream’s global securities financing (GSF) business has revealed a 29 per cent increase year-on-year (YoY) for volume outstanding, generating €1,074 billion in July, according to recent monthly figures.

The business reports a 31 per cent jump in year-to-date figures for the same month to €984 billion.

International business securities deposits through the firm’s ICSD have increased 10 per cent YoY to €10,371 billion for July, with the number of transactions falling 6 per cent to 10 million.

Looking at domestic business for Clearstream’s Luxembourg CSD and German CSD, securities deposits rose 3 per cent YoY to €7,131 billion, with the number of transactions climbing 21 per cent to 23 million.

For Investment Funds Services, securities deposits reached €5,179 billion, a 25 per cent YoY increase, while the number of transactions were up 27 per cent to 7 million.

For assets under custody, recent figures report an 11 per cent YoY increase in July to €22,681 billion.
